Steven Fry is amazing doing the Harry potter ones I can whole Heartedly recomend he does do voices for the characters and is just great i love his tonks its great. Thanks for the link i shall check it out would love to be able to listen to wicked as i essay etc

Hehe :D I agree - I have all the HP ones as I just love the way that Steven Fry reads them.

Hes soo good I have them on my ipod ( i have to admit my parents got me one to put them on that came with them on there and the hogwarts crest on the back of it its sooo cool but i have got the cds too which i had previously cant wait till the 21st the audios are out on the same day)

oh really that means stphen must no by now what is in the book lets kidnap him! lol

I think I will read the whole book first.. probably a couple of times and then I will listen to the audio. That is if I can afford it!

I have preordered my audios and they will probably come about three days after the release which means i can read the book at least once before they arrive which is good.

July is going to be an expeinsive mounth... looking t book, movie and seeing new wicked cast becuase i doubt i will get to see helens last..

Yeah it will be, I am hoping to go and see Wicked again in July too. I would love to see Helen's last though, that would be really special. :)

I read the book Wicked last summer and I absolutely LOVED it. I don't usually get into stories like this but I read it like five times over. By far my favorite book :D

I was also thrilled when I got "Son of a Witch" for christmas. It was a decent continuation, though the end makes me sooo want to read a continuation!

The last sentence just forces Gregory Maguire to write another book continuing this story. I'd highly recomend this book to anyone who liked the first book.

Now from the book to the musical, story-wise I was a little disappointed... Don't get me wrong, I'm now obsessing over the musical rather than the book, and I know that they had to change these things, but I just sort of wished things wern't so different.

i like the changes he siad himself that "why should it stop changing because of me"

downloaded son of a witch audio book not got that far yet only listened to the first part of wicked audio book (i have read it already jsut to clarify)

they are both amazing I read Son of a Witch at christmas (also a present my mum knows me well) I loved both of them cant wait too see if he does write another but I will also say if you do like these to give his others a try confessions of an ugly stepsister is amazing too.

I'm reading the book now, i must admit i get slightly angy at some parts cuz it ruins itfor me lol! like nessa having no arms....hmmm :| and other little things, but now ive overcome that and am really enjoying the book! i sort of see it as a different story but more a different way of looking at it, i agree with what people have said before about the book being very realist and the musical being...a more fluffy, happy ending, but i like it that way so i guess im not a realist at heart lol. im the type of person who thinks 'oh well it'll all work out in the end' hehe.
so yea.. the book is great but i enjoyed the musical a lot more, and it touched me more than the book has..
i think the musical creates more sympathy for elphaba

we can't look as it anoying that nessa has no arms as it was the original way, how it was origsnlly ment to be. Howevere the book and show are two totally differnt enterties

yea i agree, i just prefer the show myself. i think its because the soundtrack just really adds to the magic, and thats somehting the book doesnt have, but the book has its own greatness :)
