So i just finished it what a fantastic book - the last line is the best - dont want to ruin it for anyone but it is a must read.

Haven't read this yet, but I plan to. What does everyone else make of this book?

(By the way, a thought just occured to me. Probably silly but ... is the title supposed to be a play on the phrase 'Son of a B****?' lol)

No the title is because its about the son of Elphaba o_0

Yes, I am aware of that. However the thought just occured to me when I was reading it.

I love this book and you coule be right on the son of a ... thing you never know interestng thought though. I love the ending of this book. It was great to be able to go back to Oz and find out more about Lirr. I did need to read past the first chapter or so before I really got into it though.

I finished it today. YAY!

Is it just me or is SOAW simpler? There were so many passages in Wicked I didn't understand but I understood nearly everything in SOAW.

tut tut Emma Jayne tut tut ;) I am hoping there will be another one because a i love reading his books in general and b because I love not only the world of Oz but his version of it and it would be interesting to see what he thinks should happen next. I do agree with you that it was a little bit simpler to read that Wicked is.

totally random but i kinda have a vague recollection of reading somehwere that there might be another one coming out..have nooo idea where i read that but anywho..you never no i could be right..i mean i had a busted watch once and it was right twice a day!!! heehee

yup me too...have read mirror mirror and have started on confessions of an ugly stepsister....im a bit of a geek when it comes to reading....

I am too I love my books I have read conffessions of an ugly stepsisster and im going to get mirror mirror when i next see it. is that one any good coz i loved conffessions of an ugly stepsisster it was very clever.

yeah..i really liked it..is also v clever (think in general maguire has this way of making you go..ohhhhhh and turns things on their heads)..mirror mirror is cool..espec with regards to the dwarves heehee (i wont spoil it)..what bout confessions..i havnt got to far with it yet..is good???

Its amazing its defiantly another turn it on its head kind of one i love it keeps the orginal cinderella story in a way but also completely changes its so clever in the way he does it. He does it in a kind of historic way in the sense that the book is telling you the truth and the fairy story is a marred version of that truth. Im so looking forward to reading mirrorr mirror i may pick it up tommorrow on my way home as i finnish at 1.00 i love college early finnishes.

Also as a random fact they did a tv mini film version of conffessions of an ugly stepsisster.

it was a while ago i think not ages and ages though per wicked as a show though i think. I will do you must let me know what you think of confessions too when you have finnished or as you go along. I shall have a look and see if i can find out when they put the tv adaptation on.

It was 2002 it has a page on Imdb with images of the characters etc.

got through few more chapters...is gettin better as i go along..like the other novels theres a sense of "this is all a bit odd" thing goin on but its cool..loving the dev of the xters...my fave xter has gotta be ruth so far..the writing has created this image in my head of her..a loveable BFG heehee hows mirror mirror??

I love my Harry ones stephen fry is amazing and sounds just right when doing all the vocies etc. i want to try and get hold of the audio for wicked and son of a witch though where did you get yours?
